The Shepherd and His sheep

The sheep are out to pasture and the shepherd is watching over them. There is news that there has been an explosion in the number of wolves in the valley. The shepherd is on high alert for the sheep are helpless without him. The sheep do not know how to hide; their constant bleating draws the wolves to them for the bleating can be heard echoing in the mountains. The echo is the only thing that has bought the shepherd time to coral the sheep to safety. The wolves are confused because the mountains echo with the bleating and the direction from which the bleating is coming from is hard to discern. The shepherd gets the sheep to safety before nightfall and then he positions his dogs around them to protect them. None will sleep tonight for the howling of the wolves can be heard getting closer and closer. A couple of hours later, the gleaming eyes of the wolves can be seen nearby, the howling is getting unbearable, the dogs are barking furiously and the sheep are bleating in fear. The shepherd however is not worried he has enough dogs to guard the sheep, in addition to himself. The dogs fight furiously through the night they are well trained and they do not break ranks, their valiant efforts brings success for they are able to overcome the wolf pack and by morning all that is left is a bunch of dead wolves, the trails of blood of the injured wolves that got away and some injured dogs. The dogs bore the brunt of the attack and none of the sheep were harmed. The shepherd is also worn out but unharmed having fought off the wolves that got too close to the sheep. This is the scenario that is taking place in the spirit, the wolves are increasing upon the land and the shepherds are very few but strong and the dogs are well equipped to handle any threat. My children, you are the sheep, I have placed shepherds over you to teach you my ways and to pray over you, to stand in the gap for the weak and to protect the young. I have surrounded you by my mighty angels and as long as you remain in my fold no harm will come upon you, by this I mean that though you may suffer loss of property, position, reputation and worldly authority you will not lose your soul. I have made provisions for you in preparation for the coming spiritual and physical war. I have not withheld any good thing from you and my plans for you are for good and not for evil. Trust me, obey my instructions to you and you will prosper in that which I send you to do. Get understanding, get wisdom, ask for discernment that you may not fall into deception at this great hour. I am with you always.

Jesus, Amen.
