Jesus, the gift giver

Children, my children I am here I bear many gifts in my hands. In fact they are about to spill onto the ground. Come to me, these gifts that I bear are for you, come and receive your gift. Children I am not a miserly God it is not my will to withhold any good thing from you no, quite the contrary, it is my desire to lavish you, bathe you in all my goodness. I want you to be overtaken by my goodness. I therefore bear gifts for you. Are you ready to receive them? Have you used the last gift I gave you to bless others or did you take it and hide it under your bed? Those who use their gifts receive even more gifts next time because I know I can trust them to be obedient to my will. Therefore come let me lavish you with my excess for I am a God who is more than enough. What do you desire child? I am willing to give it to you. Do not be self-centered yes of course there are some things that you ask for your own personal use but remember it is not always about what you want. Remember also the needs of those around you. Learn generosity even as I your God I am generous in my blessings. Does not my word say the blessings of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it? (Proverbs 10:22). Learn of me, learn from me. Who else will you emulate? A son emulates his father, children emulate their parents therefore if you are indeed mine then you should follow my example. I have revealed myself to you in my word and personally. I am not a stranger to you, you know what is pleasing in my sight therefore I expect you to be imitators of me, Jesus, and as you imitate me the world will imitate you until they come to personally know me. You are after all my ambassadors, my representatives. Uphold my righteousness and do not let my name be evil spoken of. I am right now as I speak coming to you to visit you with my gifts. Make room for my gifts. How do you do this? Make sure you have used the last gifts I gave you effectively for I am here to reward faithfulness and good stewardship. Those who have used their gifts wisely and have scattered them abroad in ministry will receive new gifts that they may do likewise and bring souls into my kingdom. Those who have held onto or hidden their gifts out of fear or greed do not have room for more gifts. First learn how to effectively use the first gifts I gave you before you ask for me, before you can receive more. Think carefully on these words and examine your lives. I love you now and always.

Jesus, the gift giver.

Amen.
