Spiritual Warfare Part 4

I hear the sound of weapons clanging, a sharp ear piercing noise of violence rings across the land. I hear the thundering of the horses’ hooves as they race furiously into the battlefield. I hear the soft thud of falling bodies as men are slain on the battlefield. The air is filled with metallic sounds, soft thuds and shrieks of horror and pain. Yes, a battle rages on and dust from the earth swirls in the wind. These are the sounds of violence. There is the smell of sweat and blood in the air, the ground is soaked in blood as men fall left and right. This is a day of great slaughter, a day of taking of lives, a day of pain and sorrow and victory and triumph. Yes, one army will fall while the other will prevail. These are the outcomes of war: death, defeat, sorrow, triumph. Children this is a picture of a physical war, violent and final. This is also the same picture in a spiritual war, there is violence, defeat and triumph, no physical death but there is a spiritual death to those who choose the ways of wickedness. Children when you get on your knees and pray, when you fast, when you worship you are essentially in a war against the forces of darkness and in the spirit world you are a warrior in full armor wielding deadly weapons. Though these weapons are spiritual in nature they inflict deadly wounds on the enemy and his hordes. Do not take your weapons of warfare lightly they are mighty so mighty they can pull down strongholds that have stood over families, communities and nations for centuries. These weapons can disarm principalities and the powers of darkness. Therefore do not despise your weapons they are effective in battle. Your enemy knows this and for this reason he will do whatever he can to stop you from using your weapons. Children do not give in to the urge not to pray, fast or worship. Be led by my Holy Spirit and submit to His calling. He is calling many to a time of fasting. Listen to His voice it is for your own good children. It is way past time that the captives of darkness are set free. They have been enslaved long enough, chained in deep darkness for so long that they have gone completely blind. Who will go forth and release them from their bondage? Who will go forth and cut their chains? Who will go forth and lead them out of darkness into light? They have been in darkness so long the light will blind them temporarily but in time they will get accustomed to it. Like a blind man who is helpless in a strange land so are these captives. They will need a guide until their sight is restored and they are able to see and understand for themselves. I ask once again who will go out for me? Who is brave enough to confront the enemy on his own turf boldly and strike him down and disarm him? Who can I send? My eyes are searching to and fro who will go out for me? Will you go? I am with you always, take courage and go!

Jesus, Amen.
